The Problem:

The Problem:

The Problem:

The brand design of CSSA is somewhat unclear, causing confusion and inconsistency in style when creating promotional materials. This leads to students struggling to establish a cohesive design style when making posters, ultimately reducing both work efficiency and satisfaction. Additionally, CSSA lacks a more comprehensive and systematic approach to promotional materials, resulting in lower marketing effectiveness.

The Solution:

To enhance the work efficiency and satisfaction of our staff, I have created clearer design guidelines, along with more explicit directions for aesthetic style and IP image. At the same time leaving a certain degree of design freedom for colleagues to exercise their creativity.

Using the knowledge that I learned in the UX field, I created a more detailed user persona based on the current main stakeholders (non-CSSA members who participate in and promote the student union) and potential audience.

Many international students hold negative views about participating in student organizations. Specifically, they believe that these organizations are build with bureaucracy and corrupt practices. I believe these issues arise due to the lack of transparency in the organizations and the school’s lack of oversight. Specifically, the school has not widely promoted the operational guidelines for student organizations nor informed students of the potential risks associated with joining them (which may lead students to unknowingly join organizations that carry risks).

The following measures may help increase transparency:

  • Require clubs to register with the school in order to participate in "on-campus club recruitment activities."

  • Require clubs to attach the "Club Guidelines" written by the school to their registration pages.

  • Discuss typical cases and practices from other schools during orientation.

  • Require clubs to publish detailed records of their finances, activity logs, gift information, etc., after each event.

  • Clearly inform students about the school’s financial support for registered clubs (so students know they do not need to pay third-party platforms to participate in activities).

  • If a club is involved in activities with external organizations, clearly communicate the purpose of the collaboration.
